Sitting around waitin' on two pink lines....

I do not have a face to see or put inside a frame
I do not have a hand to hold, I don't yet have a name
All this will change come May, that's when they say I'm due
I'm your new grandson or granddaughter and I can't wait to meet you!

My new big sister Emma will be my best friend
she'll teach me all the things she knows like who's the president
My mama keeps me safe and holds me close inside
she's so excited that I'm coming, that when she told daddy she cried
My daddy loves us all so much and takes good care of us
I must be destined to be someone great to have them make such a fuss

All I ask between now and then is your patience while I grow
It's amazing how those two little pink lines = so much love and hope
So I better get back to growing, I'll try not to be late
Please keep me in your prayers, I promise I'll be worth the wait!

"....And they lived happily ever after"

7 years ago, on December 31st, 2003 two total strangers met.  And it was love at first sight.  And although I didn't know it then, I had met the man I was born to love.  I had prayed about him, my future husband.  And he was and is an answer to my prayers. We were married a little over 2 years later, on February 4th, 2006.  We have been living happily ever after since that day.

Mrs. Smiddy's blog take 1

I have always loved to write.  Poems, essays, letters, comments, pretty much anything to do with writing and I’m all over it. So, I decided to create a blog.  Even if I’m the only person who reads it, I will enjoy doing it.

Right now, I’m listening to a song written about my favorite bible verse, Psalm 23.  “The Lord is my Shepherd…..And I will recline at a table in the presence of my enemies.   Surely, surely, goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.”
My God is so good.  I have been dealt a very fair hand.  I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  I take all of those titles very seriously, and in that order.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog.  And may God richly bless you.
